The front cover of my novel was of no apeal to me. It was the title that won me over completely. I thought that the cover looked a bit juvenile for the type of book. The elements that make a good front cover are ones that are attention grabbing and relevent to the story. I have never been attracted by the cover as, in my previous blog, I usualy just read whatever. Harry sines was reading a book called spud, and the front cover matches the story apparently.

The wolf ran from the hunter, running for its life. The hunter was a skilled hunter, he knew what he was doing. The wolf ducked and weaved through the bushes, over branches and roots. A fallen tree trunk blocked his path, and he leaped over it with a running jump. He came to a cliff face, unable to go any further. desperate, He turned to go back but the hunter blocked his path. He let out a howl, wich was stopped short by a gushot that rang out in the night. All the other animals in the forest fell silent. The hunter would eat good that night.

books

I do not realy discuss the topic of books with other people, nor do I reccomend books to other people, but my friends and I do share some tastes. I have read some books on about social stuff such as my novel for english. It reminds me about about a series called the hunger games, by Suzanne Collins, which is a book about a set of games that people are forced to participate in. Though it may sound like a book about action it does have allot of social stuff in it about there social lifes. as there is times between the action.

fiona wood

Six impossible things is by fiona wood, and I am afriad that all of her bibliographies are based around her career as a surgeon, so i was not able to find any similarities.

authors blogs

james roys blog made it look like it was his writing desk, wich i found appealing. most seemed to write at an early age, though one Just decided he was going to write.
Dav pilkey and mathew reilly have two very different ways of writing. Dav Pilkey uses pictures to enchance his writing and is aiming at kids. Matthew Reilly does kind of serious books and is aiming at adults. Suzanne collins has two series and lives in new york. She has two feral cats that she adopted and started to write when she thought of Alice in wonderland and thought that you are more likely to fall down a manhole than a rabbithole, and started to write: gregor the overlander.

I walked home, looking behind me to chek that I wasn't being followed. The bitter cold seeped through my gloves, leaving my fingers frozen. I saw the cute looking little cottage, sorounded by not so cute trees and scenery. I walked to the threshold and knocked on the door. My mother answered "who is it?".
I answered back "its me mum".
"Oh, come in".
I stepped through the door. Dinner had been served. It was a watery vegatable soup. As I ate, I pondered whether or not to ask the qeustion that had been in my head for days. Finaly I put my spoon down and asked "Mum, how did the war start?"My mother paused, Then went on to say"well you see, The russians and the US  had a big arsonel of bombs. They didn't use them them for fear that they would retaliate and that a nuclear war would start. Eventualy russia did, striking a critical blow. Your Father..." Mum puased with a sob. "your father died in that explosion".
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Mum answered it and a man with a thick russian accent said: "you are under arrest for treoson".

E-litarature disadvantages

Availability: some people might not have internet and will be unable to read theat story. This type of reading is not like books as you can not realy relax and read wherever. I have seen a elctronic litirature device called a kindle and I believe there is a reading app on the ipad. This type of reading does not seem as good because of the reasons above, though there is allot of good litarature out there.

E-litarature

This type of reading does not apeal to me vry much as the people writing traditional books are pros, unless of course the E-litarature is an exact replica of the traditional book. The pictures and sound to accompany the story would be allot of help for slower readers.
I do sometimes find it hard to get into the reading zone, as instead of reading I often listen to music or play on electronics. My favorite place to read is a comfortable couch. I like to read in the afternoons and before I go to bed.
I enjoy the books of mathew reilly. I do enjoy his books, As they are full of action and realistic concepts and modern technology. Most of Mathew reilly's are short and simple but have allot of meaning and strike emotion.

blurb

A fourteen year old boy has had a bombshell dropped on his family. His fathers bussiness has been bankrupted, and he has revealed to the family that he is gay.
He has to move into a new house and a new public school. With his mothers failing wedding bussiness, he must do...

                                               six impossible things
I did not choose the book based on the back cover but was instead the title, as it caught my attention and I wanted to know the six impossible things that the main charecter had to achieve. The blurb on my book had a big chunk from the book that gives you a bit of a hint onto what is inside. The blurb did give a good indication on the book. my first impresion was of a very lonely boy who is atracted to a girl. the book seemed like it was a book aimed at teens or possibly tweens.
The title is like a glimpse at what is going to happen in the book. For example, if a book iks called 2012, it almost certainly going to be set in 2012. I think that in the novel that I am curently reading is called six impossible things. i think that this is a very fitting title. Another title could be the six challenges, or the impossible achievements. I am afraid that, to my knowledge, it is not in a series.
